Sneed is out of the midstate, playing his high school football at Donelson Christian Academy. Sneed’s brother Dayton is already on the roster and his heading into year two with the program after joining as a preferred walk-on. Dayton has made splashes in both spring games that he’s appeared in.
Carson is the 174th ranked player in the class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the eighth ranked tight end and the fifth ranked player in the state of Tennessee. Sneed checks in at 6-6, 235 pounds.
His impressive offer list includes Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, Auburn, Michigan and Texas A&M — just to name a few. Sneed ended up taking visits to Georgia, Auburn and Alabama, but ultimately chose to stay home and play for the team he grew up cheering for.
Tennessee now has two commitments in the class of 2026 — good for 13th in the very early class rankings, per 247Sports.
