Single-A ball was no match for Moore.
Christian Moore spent all of two games at the single-A level, now he’s headed to double-A ball. The former Tennessee second baseman got the call that he was moving up to the Rocket City (Huntsville) Trash Pandas on Friday, quickly taking a step closer to the major leagues with the Los Angeles Angels organization.
Moore hit .545 in his two games in single-A, hitting two doubles, a triple and smacking a home run in just 11 at bats. He drove in six runs and scored five runs.

Moore was taken by the Angels with the 8th overall pick last month. He’s coming off of a ridiculously productive 2024 season for Tennessee, where he led the Volunteers to a national title. Moore hit a staggering 34 home runs this season while hitting .375. He drove in 74 runs.
The question now becomes — when does Moore make it to the big leagues? Could it happen this year? The Angels are notorious for speeding along their top picks, as evidenced by former Tennessee flamethrower Ben Joyce, who made it to the majors in under a year.
The Angels at 47-62 on the year and expanded rosters in September could see Moore get that call-up.
