Another day, another big acquisition for Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes. This time, he’s successfully landed a major transfer from the SEC.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Tennessee defensive lineman Amari McNeill has committed to Colorado. The third-year defensive lineman from the Vols will reportedly have three years of eligibility remaining.
A former three-star prospect in the Class of 2021, McNeill has found playing time rather hard to come by since joining Tennessee. He has just three tackles and one pass defended with six games played this past season.
McNeill joins a Colorado team that has made abundant use of the transfer portal since hiring Deion Sanders. Over two dozen players have already committed to the Buffaloes for the 2023 season, including a half dozen players rated four-star or better.

The Colorado Buffaloes are going to have a wildly different look from the last few years and not just because of the changes to the roster.
Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011, Colorado have reached the Pac-12 Championship Game only once. They have only one bowl game appearance in a non-pandemic season since 2008.
With Deion Sanders now at the helm, expectations are going to be the highest they’ve been in decades. But he’s doing just about everything he can off the field to ensure that those expectations are met regardless.
What will the Buffaloes’ record be in 2023?
