According to a recent Twitter poll conducted by the podcast Unnecessary Roughness, the most “annoying” fan base in all of college football belongs to the Tennessee Volunteers.
Tennessee, which last won a national championship in the late 1990s, hasn’t been truly competitive on a big scale in a while.
However, the Volunteers’ fan base remains as passionate as ever.
This week, Tennessee beat out Ohio State for the “most annoying” fan base crown.

Congrats to Tennessee?
“We absolutely deserve this because I’ll confess we’re unbelievably annoying and will outright go at anyone that comes after our team,” one fan admitted.
“WE DID IT AGAIN!!!!! GO BIG ORANGE!!!” another fan joked.
“Easy win! We’ll be back next season and will claim the worst fan award again. Go Big Orange” one fan joked.
Congratulations, Tennessee fans. Feels like 98!

There are some other worthy candidates, like Notre Dame, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and others.
However, for 2022, the title belongs to the Vols.
