Danny Kanell made it abundantly clear on Friday that he’s a huge fan of Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker.
In fact, Kanell likes Hooker so much as a prospect that he’d take him over Florida’s Anthony Richardson Kentucky’s Will Levis. Both quarterbacks are projected to be top-10 picks in this year’s draft.
“Give me Hendon Hooker over Will Levis and Anthony Richardson,” Kanell tweeted. “All. Day. Long.”
Some fans like this take from Kanell. Others, meanwhile, think teams would be foolish to rank Hooker ahead of Richardson and Levis.

“At the end of their rookie seasons Richardson will be 21, Hooker 26, and Levis, 24,” one follower replied. “Give me the 21 year old with unlimited upside, he might bust, or he might be a generational talent.”
“For real. Hendon better than both of them,” another follower wrote.
Statistically speaking, Hooker actually had the best 2022 season out of all three quarterbacks. He had 3,135 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and two interceptions before suffering a torn ACL.
At the moment, Hooker is projected to be a Day 2 pick.
