Another situation to monitor.
Tennessee is white hot on the recruiting trail, and that momentum doesn’t appear to be slowing down just yet. The Volunteers picked up their 20th commitment on Sunday, flipping four-star tight end Da’Saahn Brame from Oregon.
Brame was on campus over the weekend, and he wasn’t alone. Tennessee’s “Big Orange Kickoff” event saw the Volunteers host several of the top remaining names on their board, one of which being four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny. On Sunday, Konanbanny announced a final two — Florida State and Tennessee.

The 6-1, 180 pound defensive back is out of Columbia, South Carolina. Konanbanny ranks as the 298th overall prospect in the class of 2025. He’s the 29th-ranked cornerback prospect in the class and the fourth-ranked player in the state of South Carolina. Originally, Konanbanny is from France. He grew up playing soccer and has also competed in track and field at the high school level.
Konanbanny took official visits to Florida State, LSU and Tennessee in the month of June. The Volunteers got the final official on June 21st, and got him back on campus yet again for their event over the weekend. Was it enough to close the deal?
Tennessee is up to the fifth-ranked class in the country, per 247Sports. The Volunteers now hold commitments from three cornerbacks and two safeties as things currently stand.
