A big get for Rodney Garner.

Tennessee picked up a big commitment late on Wednesday afternoon, adding four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell. The North Carolina product picked Tennessee over the homestate Tar Heels following the departure of head coach Mack Brown last week.

Campbell is a former Clemson commit who decommitted back in September. Tennessee seemed to be the team to beat from there, and they closed the deal here today. Campbell has already sent in his signature, officially making him a Vol.

Campbell is a top 50 player in the 2025 cycle, checking in as a highly ranked four-star. According to 247Sports, Campbell is the 33rd ranked player in the country. He’s the second ranked player in the state of North Carolina.

The 6-4, 275 pound defender racked up 110 tackles as a junior, 27 of which coming for a loss. Campbell put up a whopping 16 sacks during that season. He’ll now go to work with veteran defensive line coach Rodney Garner, who has completely transformed Tennessee’s front since arriving four years ago.

Campbell joins four-star Marion Dye, four-star Ethan Utley and three-star Charles House in Tennessee’s 2025 defensive line group. He’s the 23rd signature for Tennessee today, giving the Volunteers the 11th ranked class in the country so far, per 247Sports.
