
Tennessee added another piece to their 2025 recruiting class on Saturday, picking up a prospect on the defensive side of the ball. Christian Gass, a four-star linebacker, chose Tennessee over Georgia and USC.

Gass took official visits to Kentucky, Georgia, USC and Florida back in June. Tennessee closed this one out following their day to host back on June 21st.
The 6-2, 215 pound linebacker is out of Covington, Georgia. According to On3, Gass is the 225th ranked prospect in their overall Industry Rankings. On3 actually has Gass ranked as a top 100 prospect, checking in at 83rd. Per the industry rankings, Gass is the 25th rated linebacker and the 30th ranked player in the state of Georgia.
As a junior last season, Gass put up 68 total tackles and 11 tackles for loss. He recorded two sacks and forced a fumble. Gass also runs track, putting up impressive times in the 100 and 200 meter for a linebacker prospect.
Gass is the first off-ball linebacker prospect in Tennessee’s 2025 class.
