Jackson chose Tennessee over Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn and several others. Per On3, Jackson is the 80th ranked player in the class of 2025 — the 12th ranked receiver in the class. He’s the third ranked player in the state of Tennessee.
The 6-2, 195 pound receiver put up over 1,800 total yards as a junior in 2023. Doing a little bit of everything for Sheffield, Jackson ran for over 700 yards and put up another 696 receiving yards. He also played some quarterback, throwing for nearly 400 more yards. He scored 32 total touchdowns on the year.
Jackson averaged 23+ yards per reception. He’ll be joining Josh Heupel’s up-tempo spread attack, where he hopes to put up more big numbers down the road.
This is a big in-state win for Tennessee, which had to hold off programs like Alabama, Florida and Oregon for his commitment. Jackson took a visit to Tuscaloosa back in March, but returned to Tennessee in April. Just a couple of weeks later, Tennessee secured the commitment.
Jackson joins five-star quarterback prospect George MacIntyre in the class, along with four-star tight end Jack Van Dorselaer and three-star receiver Joakim Dodson. With a total of nine commits so far, Tennessee holds the 14th ranked class in the 2025 cycle, per 247Sports.
