MacIntyre is a five-star prospect, ranking 10th overall in the class of 2025. He’s the top player in the state of Tennessee and the third-ranked quarterback in the country. MacIntyre committed to Tennessee back on January 22nd, picking the Volunteers over Alabama, Auburn and Clemson.
Per 247Sports, MacIntyre trails only Bryce Underwood (LSU commit) Tavien St. Clair (Ohio State commit).
He comes from a football family, with his grandfather serving as the head coach at both Vanderbilt and UT-Martin. His uncle, Mike, is the current head coach at FIU after making stops at Colorado and San Jose State.
MacIntyre follows five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava and four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger, as Josh Heupel and company continue to pull in top talent at the most important position on the field.
As a junior at Brentwood Academy, the 6-5, 190 pound passer completed 67 percent of his attempts, throwing for 3,229 yards. He tossed 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. MacIntyre also plays basketball at a high level, even earning offers on the hardwood from FIU and Arizona State.
The Elite 11 camp is set for June 18-20 in Los Angeles.
