Another trip to NYC for Tennessee.
The No. 1 team in the nation is back in action tonight — and back at Madison Square Garden. Tennessee will take on Miami in the Jimmy V Classic in another power-four matchup. The Volunteer already hold wins over Louisville, Syracuse, Virginia and Baylor.
Miami has dropped six straight games after winning their first three. The losses have come to Drake, Oklahoma State, VCU, Charleston Southern, Arkansas and Clemson. They’ve been competitive in every game, however.
Offense hasn’t been the issue. The Hurricanes rank 27th in KenPom’s offensive ratings, but rank 262nd in defense. Miami ranks 100th overall, while Tennessee checks in at No. 2 behind Auburn.
Longtime starter Nigel Pack leads the way for Miami, scoring over 14 points per game.
