The Tennessee Volunteers are playing for another baseball conference title this afternoon. The Vols took care of Vanderbilt on Saturday night, punching their ticket to the championship game on Sunday.
Tennessee will face LSU, which won a wild one against South Carolina.
Tennessee was locked in a battle with the Commodores on Saturday, but a massive three-run shot from Christian Moore blew things open. The Volunteers finished the job, taking home a 6-3 win.
Today they’ll return to the SEC Tournament Championship, which they last won in 2022.
Tennessee is now projected as the No. 1 overall national seed in the NCAA Tournament, per D1 Baseball. We’ll get our final answer on that tomorrow, as the NCAA is set to reveal the tournament field. First things first though, let’s crown some conference champs.
