The ACC/SEC Challenge rolls on.
The season is young, but the tests keep coming for Tennessee basketball. The Volunteers picked up a win over Syracuse last week in Honolulu, but fell on back to back days facing the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country in the Maui Invitational. Both Purdue and Kansas got the better of Tennessee, and now the Vols are set to take on yet another powerhouse program.
Rick Barnes will head back to his home state of North Carolina tonight, set to take on the Tar Heels at the Dean E. Smith Center. North Carolina is off to a 5-1 start on the year, coming off of two wins last week in the Battle 4 Atlantis. The Tar Heels came back to beat Northern Iowa, beat Arkansas, but lost to eventual champion Villanova.
North Carolina may or may not have the services of standout guard Cormac Ryan, who was injured against Arkansas. Ryan averages nearly 11 points per game, and is considered a gametime decision tonight.
North Carolina is favored in their home gym by two points, per DraftKings Sportsbook.
