If Tennessee offensive tackle Darnell Wright winds up getting drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals, he’s probably going to have a lot to say to one Bengals podcaster.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Willie Lutz of the Same Old Stripes podcast shared a screenshot of a DM he received from Wright. Lutz had previously tweeted “Darnell Wright is a pure RT and has no business playing LT.”
Wright apparently found that tweet and did not appreciate it in the slightest. In his DM to Lutz, Wright had this to say: “Your a pure d-keater, what year did you play to say anybody has any business doing anything.”
Lutz seemed to take the message from Wright in stride. But the wider NFL world seemed mixed.
Some took this as a massive sign that Wright is too soft and proved it by lashing out at someone in the media like that, while others think he had a point and successfully roasted Lutz:

Darnell Wright ranks among the top offensive tackle prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft. He earned First-Team All-SEC honors this past year and started all 13 games for the Vols.
Whether you believe clapping back at someone of the media helps or hurts their stock, it’ll be funny as hell if Wright winds up going to the Bengals and Lutz has to start singing his praises on his podcast.
