These are all about the details. The helmet features a stripe the resembles the state flag. You’ve got the tri-star logo on the sleeve, and also on the pants. The pants also feature three-stars on the orange stripe down the side. The numbers were also outlined in white to really make them pop.

These are the first ever Tennessee uniforms to feature Tennessee across the chest.
Tennessee announced the ‘Smokey Grey’ Series back in 2022, which promised a new iteration of the look every season. Last year Tennessee honored Condredge Holloway, featuring a large orange stripe across the shoulders of the jersey.
The uniform was first debuted back in 2013 by Adidas, then changed over to Nike in 2015.
Tennessee has also featured a dark mode look, featuring all black from top to bottom. The Volunteers have also worn an orange helmet, giving Tennessee plenty of options under Danny White and Josh Heupel.
The Vols have worn their ‘Smokey Grey’ look in big home games against Florida and Georgia before. They’ve also worn them on the road against LSU back in 2022.
Tennessee will have chances to wear the new look against Chattanooga in the home opener, Kent State, Florida, Alabama (not likely), Kentucky, Mississippi State and UTEP this season.
