Not good.
What appeared to be an easy night for Tennessee just got much more difficult. Star running back Dylan Sampson went down just before halftime, then quarterback Nico Iamaleava didn’t come out of the locker room after halftime.
Gaston Moore started the second half for Tennessee, and ESPN reported that Iamaleava had been ruled out for the remainder of the game with an “upper body injury.”
Sampson was announced as questionable to return. He went down with a lower leg injury, but was able to walk off the field under his own power.
Tennessee, up 20-7 out of the halftime break, could now be leaning on Gaston Moore and Peyton Lewis to finish this one off. With Georgia up next, these situations will obviously be huge storylines to follow.
If folks were wondering where Tennessee’s Nico Iamaleava might’ve gotten hurt, here’s the most likely answer
