This one was FULL of drama from start to finish.
A long, drama-filled road ends here — five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. has officially signed with Tennessee. Sanders committed to Tennessee back in August, but his recruitment started to heat up again over the last month. A surprise visit to Ohio State had things in doubt, then a delayed signature yesterday threw speculation into overdrive.
Today the drama ends, as Sanders announced his final decision live on Finebaum.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native is the top offensive line prospect in the country. According to 247Sports, Sanders is the fifth overall prospect in all of America and the top prospect in the state of North Carolina.
At 6-6, 290 pounds, Sanders is a smooth operator and plenty athletic enough to handle left tackle responsibilities immediately. The best part of his game is his ability to finish, and he’s always looking for work. He’ll be asked to add weight pretty quickly to hold up in SEC play, but with right tackle John Campbell on the way out, he should have a path to contributing early on.
Sanders is the only five-star prospect in Tennessee’s class. The Volunteers now have 25 total signatures, with just one uncommitted name left on the board (Onis Konanbanny).
Per 247Sports, Tennessee currently holds the tenth ranked class in the 2025 cycle.
