Ohio Stadium will have plenty of orange there.
A convoy of orange will be heading north on December 21st. Tennessee narrowly missed out on hosting a College Football Playoff game, meaning they’ll have to hit the road and take on Ohio State in Columbus.
If you’ve been on any social media this week, you know how many Tennessee fans are planning on going. Tennessee’s allotment of 3,500 tickets won’t be nearly enough, so fans have hit the secondary market to make sure they have a seat.
Apparently, Ohio State is noticing. So much so that Ohio State athletics director Ross Bjork felt the need to address it on live air on Thursday morning.
“Don’t sell your tickets,” Bjork said on Columbus local radio this morning. “Tennessee fans, they’re rabid fans. They are going to invade The ‘Shoe. So let’s make sure we don’t have as much orange in there as people think.”
One Tennessee fan even acquired a presale code for Ohio State season-ticket holders.
Ohio Stadium seats 102,780. Bjork also announced a ‘scarlet-out’ for the game. From the sound of things, there will be plenty of orange in all of that scarlet.
Tennessee is currently a 7.5 point underdog, according to most books. Kickoff is set for December 21st at 8 p.m. ET.
