Tennessee has a few defensive lineman that will be heading to the NFL next season.
Tennessee’s 2024 defensive front might just be the strength of the roster, featuring elite talent and experience up and down the depth chart. The headliner is James Pearce, who had emerged as a potential top five pick in next year’s draft. Omari Thomas is another guy with an NFL future. But they aren’t alone.
Omarr Norman-Lott has caught the eye of the Senior Bowl during their summer film sessions. The Arizona State transfer is heading into his second year with Tennessee, and the work with Rodney Garner is clearly paying dividends.
Georgia all-purpose weapon Dillon Bell was @seniorbowl staff’s biggest snub on pre-season All-SEC team on offense and, now that we’re working thru DL group, strong case could be made that twitched-up @Vol_Football DT Omarr Norman-Lott is on defense.

“Former four-star transfer from Arizona State, @LottOmarr is an athletic 3-tech who immediately got our attention during summer tape study with his disruptive win-early upfield quickness & chase range, which he shows off in below,” Nagy said. “With NFL teams putting so much emphasis on inside rushers who can affect the QB, we think Norman-Lott, who had 5.5 sacks last year as backup, will steadily rise up draft boards this fall.”
The former four-star prospect is a part of a deep rotation on the defensive line. Omari Thomas, Dominic Bailey, Bryson Eason, Tyre West, Elijah Simmons, Jaxson Moi and Daevin Hobbs form quite the depth chart for Garner entering this fall.
Norman-Lott flashed quite a bit last season. He appeared in ten games total and made his presence felt with 5.5 sacks — particularly impressive for an interior player. Norman-Lott added 26 tackles and six tackles for loss.
Now entering his senior season, Norman-Lott is clearly on the NFL’s radar. Another season of production like that will likely earn him an invitation to Mobile for the Senior Bowl.
