They did it again.
What a scene it was on Saturday night at Neyland Stadium. No. 11 Tennessee knocked off No. 7 Alabama for their second consecutive win over the Crimson Tide in Knoxville, and boy was there ever a party afterwards.
The offense finally got rolling in the second half, powered by Dylan Sampson and a couple of big-time throws from Nico Iamaleava. The deafening noise at Neyland helped make a difference as Jalen Milroe threw the game sealing interception.
Linebacker Arion Carter mentioned after the game that Alabama couldn’t get their pass protection set up because of all the noise.
Tennessee linebacker Arion Carter said Alabama couldn’t get its pass protection set on those last two drives because Bama players couldn’t hear due to raucous Neyland Stadium crowd.

Tim Banks was dialing up the heat, putting the pressure on Milroe with the game on the line. His final snap of the game was the one that sealed the deal — a pick to Alabama native Will Brooks.

A win in this series means one thing — Cigars. Tennessee fans wasted no time lighting them up, creating a cloud of smoke over the stadium.
2024 v 2022. The more things change the more they stay the same. Just had the cigars ready to go quicker this year…Go Vols. pic.twitter.com/4JHBrCLvR9

Josh Heupel couldn’t contain himself after his victory interview, disappearing into the crowd and jumping with the fans.
Josh Heupel is 4-4 against Alabama and Florida since he became the coach at Tennessee.
Tennessee was 1-23 against those teams under Lane Kiffin, Derek Dooley, Butch Jones, and Jeremy Pruitt.

I was wondering if Tennessee fans would storm the field or not, as it turns out they did. And once again, the goalposts came down. You could make the argument that Tennessee is beyond storming the field after beating Alabama, but when you think about all the recruits that were in town for visits, that’s a memory they’ll hold for a lifetime. That can’t hurt on the trail, either.

Tennessee had a ton of alums at the game. Darnell Wright, Alontae Taylor, Jarrett Guarantano were just a few of the names spotted on the sidelines. Alvin Kamara then popped in to make an appearance during Heupel’s press conference.
