Two Southeastern Conference (SEC) giants are on the board in the 2026 class, landing big four-star pledges. Tennessee has picked up a verbal commitment from four-star small forward Ralph Scott. Texas, meanwhile, secured a pledge from four-star wing Bo Ogden. It is the first 2026 commit for each SEC program.
Southeastern Conference Giants Land Big-Time 4-Star Pledges
Ralph Scott To Tennessee
The 6-foot-7 Scott has been one of the fastest risers in the 2026 cycle over the past few months. He is a senior at the powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Scott had a final four of Tennessee, Houston, Purdue and Texas A&M. Scott officially visited all four schools, and this is a massive recruiting win for head coach Rick Barnes and the Tennessee program.
Not too long ago, Scott wasn’t even in the national rankings via all the main recruiting Web sites. Now, he’s No. 38 overall, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, along with the No. 18 small forward and the No. 7 prospect coming out of Florida.
Scott chose Tennessee because of his relationship with the coaching staff, he tells 247Sports. He also likes the environment that the Volunteers campus offers.
Bo Ogden To Texas
The Longhorns beat out Purdue, Tennessee and others for the 6-foot-5 Ogden, a talented shooting guard/small forward. This past weekend, Ogden took an official visit to Texas. He verbally committed to the Longhorns shortly thereafter. Ogden is a senior at Westlake High School, which like the University of Texas, is located in Austin.

Ogden is the son of Chris Ogden, a former Texas player and assistant coach who is currently in his second season as the general manager of the Longhorns program. While he says it’s “cool” that he will play in college for the same program that his father played for, Ogden tells 247Sports that his decision wasn’t based on following in his dad’s footsteps.
Ogden says that he ultimately decided on the Longhorns because of what first-year head coach Sean Miller and his assistants told Ogden they had planned for him at the college level. The 247Sports Composite places him at No. 37 overall, No. 17 at small forward and No. 4 in Texas.
SEC Teams Eyeing Other Top-Flight Prospects
With their first senior pledges, both Tennessee and Texas move just inside the top-30, according to 2026 team rankings from the 247Sports Composite. While many college programs, these days, are more focused on transfer portal recruiting than recruiting at the prep level, the Volunteers and the Longhorns are in the mix for various other 2026 high school prospects.
At Tennessee, 2026 targets to monitor include: five-star power forward Christian Collins, five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr., four-star power forward Latrell Allmond and four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis. For Texas, keep an eye on guys such as four-star combo guard Austin Goosby, power forward Trevaun Clark, five-star power forward Cameron Williams, five-star small forward Anthony Thompson, Rippey, four-star small forward Maximo Adams, four-star small forward Cameron Holmes and four-star guard Lucas Morillo.
This past weekend, the 6-foot-7 Adams, a senior at the Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Calif., took an official visit to Texas alongside Ogden.
