Another receiver hits the portal.
Another Tennessee wide receiver will test the transfer portal. Squirrel White is the latest name to enter, joining Kaleb Webb, Chas Nimrod, Nathan Lecock and Nate Spillman. Tennessee is also set to lose Dont’e Thornton and Bru McCoy, meaning that the majority of the receiver room will be completely rebuilt.
On3’s Pete Nakos had the news this afternoon.

White caught 34 passes this season, putting up 381 yards and two scores. That was a significant decline from his 2023 campaign where White had over 800 yards receiving. The 5-10, 167 pound junior battled injuries for much of the season.
White flashed early on in his career and forced his way onto the field as a freshman. He was thought of as the Jalin Hyatt replacement, but his work down the field was inconsistent after Tennessee moved on from Hendon Hooker. Frankly, it feels like Tennessee has a chance to upgrade here.
Tennessee is left with Chris Brazzell, Mike Matthews and Braylon Staley on the current roster. The Volunteers will welcome four-star prospects Travis Smith Jr. and Radarious Jackson, along with three-star prospect Joakim Dodson.
Obviously Tennessee will turn to the transfer portal in search of adding a veteran or two.
