Filling a need.
Tennessee has picked up a big commitment out of the transfer portal. Wendell Moe, a transferring offensive guard from Arizona, has committed and signed with the Volunteers. Moe visited Knoxville over the weekend.
On3’s Pete Nakos had the news this morning.

Tennessee is set to lose plenty off of their offensive line this offseason. Seniors Cooper Mays, Javontez Spraggins, Andrej Karic, Dayne Davis, John Campbell and Jackson Lampley are all out of eligibility. That’s going to free up four starting roles ahead of next season, creating the need for a veteran presence or two as Glen Elarbee turns the page.
Moe is a two-year starter at Arizona, playing in 27 games in during his redshirt freshman and sophomore seasons. He surrendered just one sack in over 1,000 snaps as a Wildcat. Moe was named second-team All Pac-12 for his efforts as a redshirt freshman in 2023.
Moe will arrive at Tennessee with two years of eligibility remaining. He’s is a former three-star recruit, originally out of Long Beach, California. He also took a visit to Auburn over the weekend before ultimately choosing the Volunteers.
The 6-2, 339 pounder is an obvious plug-and-play starter for 2025 at one of the guard positions. Lance Heard figures to return at tackle next season, while five-star freshman David Sanders enters the picture and will likely immediately become part of the equation. Tennessee will still have to find answers at center and the other guard spot — whether that is already on the roster remains to be seen.
