The Tennessee Volunteers will have some new arms coming out the bullpen in 2026, and one of them is someone the Vols know very well from 2025.
RHP Brady Frederick picked the Vols on Wednesday.

Frederick is a submarine-style pitcher, but that proved effective in 2025. He was named the SoCon Pitcher of the Year, first-team All-SoCon, and SoCon All-Tournament. In 77.2 innings pitched, Frederick posted a 2.67 ERA with 76 strikeouts to 19 walks.
Vol fans might remember the unorthodox style from Frederick from back in March. Frederick threw 3.2 innings in Tennessee’s matchup with the Bucs, allowing 2 runs but striking out 4. ETSU defeated Tennessee 7-6.
Frederick is the second reliever that Vitello has nabbed in the last week. Tennessee secured the commitment of Bo Rhudy of Kennesaw State back on June 5. Rhudy had a ridiculous 44/5 strikeout to walk ratio in 37 innings last year.
