Just one month after choosing Oregon over Tennessee, four-star tight end Da’Saahn Brame has flipped to the Volunteers. The decision comes after a week of speculation and another visit to Knoxville this weekend.

Brame checks in at 6-6, 235 pounds. He’s the 102nd ranked player in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports. Brame ranks as the fifth-rated tight end in the class and is the fourth-rated player to come out of the state of Kansas.
Tennessee now pairs Brame with Jack Van Dorselaer — another four-star tight end in the class of 2025. Van Dorselaer is the 18th ranked tight end in the class.
Though Brame is considered a tight end, his skillset may allow him to do more than that. A big slot role or even splitting out wide in jump-ball situations could be possible. Brame hauled in 13 touchdowns last year as a junior at Derby High School.
Next season he’ll join Holden Staes and Ethan Davis on the depth chart.
The addition of Brame, along with four-star safety Lagonza Hayward on Saturday, moves Tennessee to fifth overall in the 2025 class rankings, per 247Sports. The Volunteers now hold 20 total commitments.
The next situation to monitor is 2025 five-star tackle David Sanders, who is mulling a decision between Tennessee, Ohio State, Nebraska and Ohio State.
