Um, what?
EA Sports has slowly but surely been unveiling details of their upcoming release, ‘College Football 25.’ And boy — did they have a major oversight this week. The new college football game will feature a Tennessee team that ranks outside of the top 25 offenses in the nation, despite putting up video game numbers over the last three seasons.
The full rankings were revealed on Thursday, led by Georgia, Oregon and Alabama.

Even Tennessee’s week two opponent N.C. State made the cut at No. 16.
Josh Heupel’s offenses at Tennessee have routinely ranked among the nation’s best. The Vols ranked 19th in 2023, 1st in 2022 and 16th in 2021. Obviously they’ve got some turnover at the quarterback position, but based on the performance in the Citrus Bowl, they might just be getting an upgrade with former five-star prospect Nico Iamaleava.
Dylan Sampson, Bru McCoy, Squirrel White — four returning starters up front? Not in the top 25? This is either a massive oversight or a deliberate attempt to get Tennessee fans riled up. Mission accomplished there.
Tennessee also didn’t rank in the top 25 defenses.

All of this coming after EA Sports left Neyland Stadium out of their top ten toughest places to play.
So if you’re planning on taking Tennessee in your dynasty, you may have a little catching up to do with the elite of the elite rosters on the game. College Football 25 is set to come out on July 19th.
