
The Volunteers weren’t punished all that much by AP voters.
The Tennessee Volunteers have moved down to No. 10 in the latest AP top 25 poll, which was released on Sunday. Tennessee went down to Athens on Saturday night and fell to the Georgia Bulldogs, which were in a must-win spot to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive.
Georgia moves up firmly inside of the top ten, landing at No. 8. The SEC now has a logjam from 7-10 after beating up on each other throughout the year, all falling behind the Big Ten schools that are still taking advantage of light conference slates.
Oregon remains at No. 1 after escaping disaster at Wisconsin over the weekend. BYU tumbled back down to No. 14 after taking their first loss late on Saturday night. What the committee does with BYU will be fascinating on Tuesday.
Colorado moves up to 16th as they stay on track to appear in the Big 12 title game. Army is up to No. 18 ahead of their big matchup against No. 6 Notre Dame. South Carolina, one of the hottest teams in the country, is up to 19th as they moved to 7-3.
