A big one on the road tonight.
SEC play has finally arrived, and we’ve got a heck of a matchup to kick things off. Josh Heupel and his sixth-ranked Tennessee team head to Norman tonight to face his old school, the Oklahoma Sooners.
The former National Championship winning quarterback for the Sooners was fired as Oklahoma’s co-offensive coordinator back in 2014, creating quite the storyline for this one. He arrives with perhaps his best Tennessee team to date, complete with an emerging star quarterback in Nico Iamaleava and a suffocating front seven. Can Jackson Arnold and a struggling offensive line find enough answers to keep up?
Looking down the road a bit, both sides might just look back at this one as the game that determined their College Football Playoff fate. It should be a fun one.
