Tennessee football has added another commitment today, picking up a pledge from Kedric Golston. The four-star pass rusher comes out of Virginia and has family ties to a key member of the Tennessee coaching staff.
Golston announced his decision late on Friday morning.

Golston’s father, a 6-4, 330 pound nose tackle, played 11 seasons (2006-2016) in the NFL. His dad was coached at Georgia by none other than Rodney Garner, who has completely turned the Tennessee defensive line around over the past few seasons.
The younger Golston will now look to follow in his father’s footsteps 20 years later in Knoxville.
Golston checks in at 6-2, 235 pounds and ranks as the 379th overall player in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s the 41st ranked edge rusher in the class and the tenth-ranked player in the state of Virginia.
Golston held offers from Georgia, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Notre Dame and several others. Garner served as the primary recruiter here and gets the job done to give Tennessee their tenth commitment of the cycle. It’s the third edge rusher of the class as Golston joins three-star CJ Edwards and four-star Zach Groves.
