Some surprises.
Tennessee has released their initial injury report ahead of the Florida game, and it comes with some surprises. Most assumed that receivers Squirrel White and Bru McCoy would miss time with the injuries they sustained against Arkansas, but the injury report tells a different story.
Both receivers are listed as probable, while Dont’e Thornton, who was able to finish the game, is listed as questionable. Defensive lineman Bryson Eason also was banged up leaving that game, but is not listed on the report.
Tennessee finished the game with Chas Nimrod and Dont’e Thornton filling in for the injured White and McCoy. Heupel acknowledged both injuries on Monday, saying that neither one were considered season ending. To go from that comment to a probable status is a bit of a surprise.
We’ll see if these designations stick for the rest of the week.
