It’s all set.
After breezing through the Knoxville Regional, Tennessee’s super regional opponent is set. Evansville finished off the huge upset, taking down No. 16 national seed East Carolina. The Aces stay alive and will now make the trip to Knoxville for a three-game series this weekend.

Evansville is just the ninth ever No. 4 seed to advance to the supers. The Purple aces hold a 38-24 overall record, coming off of winning the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. They beat ECU to open the weekend in Greenville, then took care of VCU in the second game. Evansville lost on Sunday to ECU, but came back with a 6-5 win on Monday afternoon to advance.
Tennessee was hardly even tested over the weekend, crushing Northern Kentucky (9-3), Indiana (12-3) and then Southern Miss (12-3). The Volunteers are now set up here with a really nice draw, needed two wins over Evansville to advance to the College World Series.
Game times have yet to be announced for this weekend.
