The Tennessee Volunteers – and the rest of the SEC – now know who, when, and where they play each week during the 2025 season. The SEC revealed the full 2025 schedule for all teams on Wednesday night.

Here’s the full schedule for the Vols:

Some highlights:

  • The thing that jumps off the schedule the most is Tennessee vs. Georgia in Knoxville on September 13. That’s a major change from how things have been for a long time. Since COVID, the game has been in November. It was at the end of September/early October for years before that. It hasn’t been played on the second weekend of September since the first half of the 1990s.
  • The Florida game is in November for the first time since 1955. The teams played on December 1, 2001 after a delay due to the aftermath of 9/11, but it’s been late September or early October pretty much exclusively for decades. It’s a pretty big change, and one that many Vol fans have wanted for a long time after the struggles against the Gators over the years derailed so many seasons in their early stages. We’ll see if anything is different in the Swamp at a different time of year.
  • Tennessee finishes their season with just one road game – at Florida on November 22 – over the last five weeks of the year. That’s a nice way to finish, with winnable SEC games at home against Oklahoma and Vanderbilt to go with New Mexico State and a bye week. If the Vols can take care of business in Gainesville (massive IF), then a strong finish could be in the cards.
  • The toughest part of the schedule will be a stretch of three of four games on the road. Tennessee goes to Mississippi State, gets a bye, then gets Arkansas at home before back to back road games against Bama and Kentucky. Fortunately for Tennessee the first and last of those road games are very manageable.

What do you all think? Let’s hear it.
