Things are heating up on the trail.
Tennessee picked up its second commitment of the day this afternoon, landing offensive guard Edward Baker. The 6-4, 335 pound prospect stuck with Tennessee after a late push from Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.
Baker announced his decision this afternoon via On3.

Baker currently sits outside of the top 1,000 prospects in the class of 2026, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s the 18th ranked prospect in the state of Maryland and the 50th overall interior offensive lineman in the class. However, his offer list would suggest he may be a little overlooked by recruiting services.
Baker came to Knoxville in early June for his official visit. He also saw Arkansas, Virginia and NC State before finishing up at Ole Miss. The Rebels made a push last weekend, but Tennessee ultimately won the battle today. Baker also held offers from Penn State, Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M.
Tennessee now holds 11 commitments in the class of 2026 after today. Baker is the second offensive line commit in the group, joining five-star tackle Gabriel Osenda. Per 247Sports, Tennessee currently ranks 35th overall in the 2026 class rankings.
With official visits now wrapped up, expect to see more movement shortly around the country as prospects make their decisions.
