Two Brothers Playing Against Each Other In NCAA Tournament Today

It’ll be tough for the Zeigler family to decide who to root for when Saint Peter’s and Tennessee square off tonight in the first round of the NCAA Tournament

Armoni Zeigler is a freshman guard for Saint Peter’s. He’s averaging 6.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game this season.

Zakai Zeigler, meanwhile, is a junior guard for Tennessee. Although he may be undersized at 5-foot-9, his game is awfully impressive. He’s averaging 11.9 points and 5.8 assists per game for the Volunteers.

On Wednesday afternoon, Zakai surprised Armoni while he was being interviewed on the court. It was a sweet moment to say the least.

Speaking to the media this week, Zakai tried to troll Armoni with some playful trash talk.

“To clear the air, he’s never beat me one-on-one,’’ Zakai said, via the New York Post. “He’s not even close in the series at all. And he’s not even close in his scores. I would say everything he does, I do a little bit better, except for athleticism and height. That’s the only two things that he has better than me, athleticism and height. Everything else, I do better times probably about five.”

Armoni responded with trash talk of his own. The younger brother replied, “I’m more athletic than him and he’s a midget.”

We can’t wait to see how the battle of the Zeigler brothers plays out.

Tipoff is currently scheduled for 9:20 p.m. ET on TNT.
