For the first time in program history, the Tennessee Volunteers have two unanimous First Team All-Americans on their roster in the same season.
LHP Liam Doyle and first baseman Andrew Fischer were named First Team All-Americans by all six outlets recognized for All-American honors.

The six outlets are ABCA, Baseball America, College Baseball Foundation, D1Baseball.com, NCBWA and Perfect Game. According to Tennessee, the duo joins a very exclusive list of Vols who earned First Team All-American honors for at least five of those. The list includes 1B/LHP Todd Helton (1995), 2B Jeff Pickler (1998), 2B Chris Burke (2001), RHP Luke Hochevar (2005), RHP Chase Dollander (2022), and 1B Blake Burke (2024).
Doyle was named as a Golden Spikes finalist in 2024 after putting together perhaps the best resume of any starting pitcher in the country. He struck out a program-best 164 batters on the way to a 10-4 record with a 3.20 ERA. His nation-leading 15.63 strikeouts per nine innings average was .65 higher than second place.
His Ole Miss teammate from 2024, Andrew Fischer, had an equally impressive year at the plate for the Vols, leading the team in just about every offensive category. His 25 home runs were the second most in Tennessee history and his 63 walks did set a program record.
Best of luck to both sure-fire first round picks in the 2025 MLB Draft.
