The kid is gonna be good.
One of the most touted MLB prospects in Tennessee baseball history made his debut last week with the Los Angeles Angels. On Monday night he showed exactly why he was taken so highly in the 2024 MLB Draft.
Moore scored his first hit of his MLB career, which ended up being a triple at Yankee Stadium. A diving attempt from Aaron Judge came up short, and the rookie second baseman ended up at third base.

Moore would go on to score his first run in the Majors in the top of the 11th inning, giving the Angels a lead in extras. Moore was the automatic runner that was placed on second to open the inning.
His bat wasn’t the only thing on display either. With Los Angeles holding a 1-0 lead in the 11th, Moore fielded an awkward ground ball and came home with a perfect throw to keep the Angels’ lead.

While the stat line didn’t pop, Moore scored the only run of the game and made sure the Yankees couldn’t answer. The Angels won 1-0.
Moore went 1-4 at the plate on the night after opening his MLB career with an 0-8 mark. Now with that first one out of the way, expect to see plenty more highlights from the former Tennessee standout for the rest of his rookie season.
