Watch: Hunter Ensley makes crazy slide to avoid the tag, puts Tennessee up 6-1

Insane moment.

Hunter Ensley has provided us with some moments in the last week, but this one might take the cake. Fresh off of a Dylan Dreiling homerun to add to the lead, Kavares Tears just about jacked another one out of Charles Schwab Field. He just missed, however, and that set us up with a legendary moment.

Ensley rounded the bases and appeared to be toast at the plate — and this happened.

Unreal. Honestly, I’m not quite sure I’ve ever seen anything quite like that — full speed into a juke to wrap around the catcher and slap home plate? What a moment. Take a closer look below.

The run put Tennessee up 6-1 in the bottom of the 7th inning. The Volunteers are currently looking to close things out in Omaha, still leading 6-3 in the 8th.
