Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan expects to be released by the team later this offseason.
Lewan suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 2 of the 2022 season. In total, the 31-year-old lineman has missed 30 games over the last three seasons due to knee injury issues.
The Titans can retain his entire cap hit of more than $14.8 million by cutting him at some point this offseason.
Lewan is weighing the “pros and cons” of coming back for a 10th NFL season in 2023.
“In the next couple of weeks, I will be cut by the Tennessee Titans — that will happen,” Lewan said, per the team’s website. “I truly believe that in my heart of hearts. Then I have to go into a situation that I’ve never been in in my entire life: I have to weigh the pros and cons of playing football, or not playing football.”
Before injury issues derailed his career, Lewan notched three-straight Pro-Bowl selections from 2016-18.
