3 WR prospects Titans should meet with at NFL Scouting Combine

The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is taking place in Indianapolis from February 24 to March 3. The Tennessee Titans will be a focal point of attention as owners of the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Titans need to find instant contributors at wide receiver throughout the draft. Calvin Ridley is currently the only proven weapon under contract at the position. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Tyler Boyd are scheduled to hit unrestricted free agency, and the team traded DeAndre Hopkins (who was on expiring deal anyway) during the season. Furthermore, Treylon Burks and Ja’Quan Jackson haven’t done enough to be trusted with an every-down role.

Drafting Travis Hunter at No. 1 overall is a possibility, but he’s still facing cornerback/wide receiver positional questions. The Titans will likely meet with, and analyze, Hunter at the combine. But this class features a deep pool of pass-catching talent. The Titans could opt to wait to draft a receiver until the second round or later.

The blueprint for those decisions will be laid down at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine. The Titans should have their eyes on multiple wide receivers in Indy. We’ve identified three of them.

Jaylin Noel, Iowa State

Head coach Brian Callahan loves employing a slot-only receiver in 11 personnel. Boyd, who played that role for Callahan in 2024, is an aging asset on an expiring contract. The Titans should aim to get significantly younger (and more dynamic) at the position this offseason. Jaylin Noel has some flexibility, but the Senior Bowl proved he should play almost exclusively in the slot. Noel possesses enough short-area quickness to create mismatch opportunities, especially against off coverage.

Savion Williams, TCU

Savion Williams is among the more underrated receivers in the draft. Williams is a towering prospect, listed at 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds. The all-around weapon produced 611 receiving yards and six touchdowns, and 322 rushing yards and six additional scores, at TCU this campaign. He should excel at the combine, potentially hitting 40 inches on vertical jump, and he’ll run an outstanding 40 (should he participate) for his size.

Jalen Royals, Utah State

Jalen Royals was the best receiver in attendance at this year’s Senior Bowl. He’s a physical route runner who creates easy separation, and produces yards after catch in spa. Royals possesses legitimate superstar potential, and should appear on the Titans’ shortlist of potential options at No. 35 overall, if he remains available.
