A.J. Brown lobbies for Titans to draft former teammate Elijah Moore

March 26, 2021 by Titans Wire Leave a Comment

The Tennessee Titans will be in the market for a wide receiver during the 2021 NFL draft, and one potential target for general manager Jon Robinson in the early rounds is Ole Miss wideout, Elijah Moore.

Moore shined during the Ole Miss Pro Day on Thursday and might have helped his draft stock by posting impressive numbers, including a 4.35 40 time.

In fact, Executive Director of the Senior Bowl, draft analyst and former scout Jim Nagy noted that one unnamed scout texted him that Moore was “putting on a show.”

When Moore’s former Ole Miss teammate and current Titans No. 1 receiver A.J. Brown caught wind of his performance, he took to Twitter to lobby for his team to draft the 20-year-old prospect.

As expected. @Titans don’t mess this up! 🥲 https://t.co/AgtCBKbciQ

According to Moore, joining forces with Brown in Nashville is something the pair have talked about before.

Mississippi WR Elijah Moore on possibly reuniting with #Titans WR A.J. Brown: We talk about it all of the time. We are going to link as soon as I go home. It’s always a blessing to be able to spend time with him.

Moore figured to be a Day 2 pick and go as high as the second round prior to the pro day, so it’ll be interesting to see if this was enough for teams to give him consideration in the first round.

No matter where they take him, the 5-foot-9 prospect would be a great fit for Tennessee working out of the slot and could contribute on special teams, also.
