AJ Brown on Titans and Eagles, biggest difference is ‘opportunity’

February 5, 2025 by Titans Wire

Like 30 other teams, the Tennessee Titans are sitting back and preparing to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

For Titans fans, they get to watch two of their former wide receivers take the field on Sunday.

One of those, Philadelphia Eagles’ AJ Brown, was a fan favorite in Nashville and for many his draft-day trade was the start of the downward spiral the team is caught up in today.

There is no doubt this trade has made a difference for both teams. Brown is a dynamic weapon and is a mismatch for defenses and unfortunately, the Titans have not been able to replace him since the trade.

Brown was asked about the differences between the two franchises during the opening ceremonies of the Super Bowl on Monday.

AJ Brown says the biggest difference between #Titans and Eagles is “opportunity”

“When I was on the Titans, we were trying to figure it out,” he told the Sick Podcast, “Both teams are different, the situation is different.”

He is correct, the Eagles have become one of the most stable franchises in the NFL and have built an offense that can utilize his immense skill set and the Titans sit at the bottom of the league. They could not be more different.

He closed his answer with, “On this team, I just have the opportunity.”

While there is no doubt that his trade closed the window of opportunity for Tennessee, his acquisition opened the door for the Eagles to get back to the Super Bowl. Would that have happened in Nashville had he not been traded? Titans fans will never know.
