Assigned to protect two new quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, Dan Moore is coming off arguably the best season of his young career. Starting and appearing in all 17 games, the four-year pro finished the season with a career-high 67.2 PFF grade, the 42nd-best mark out of 81 eligible players. The Steelers made it to the playoffs, earning the sixth seed but ultimately lost in the Wild Card round to the Baltimore Ravens.

Dan Moore originally entered the league as a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Texas A&M product outplayed his draft capital, starting 16 games as a rookie and finishing with a 57.5 PFF grade. Pittsburgh ended the season with a 9-7-1 record and narrowly qualified for the playoffs before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moore retained his starting job in 2022 and put up a similar season. When all was said and done, the offensive lineman recorded a 62.4 PFF grade, the 57th-best mark in the league out of 81 players. The Steelers had another winning season, going 9-8 but couldn’t make the postseason.

Following some minor contract disputes, Dan Moore returned to the lineup in 2023 and held on to his starting job. While his play took a minor dip, the Steelers themselves remained steady. Quarterback Mason Rudolph replaced Kenny Pickett and Mitchell Trubisky down the stretch, giving the team life and guiding the team to the playoffs. Unfortunately, they once again went one-and-done, this time losing to the Buffalo Bills.

Since signing his rookie contract, Dan Moore has started and appeared in 66 starts. While he has made the playoffs three times, he’s still waiting for his first postseason win.
