For the second year in a row the Tennessee Titans appear to be on the verge of being involved in a blockbuster trade involving a star wide receiver. But this one could be about much more than just one player.
According to ProFootballTalk, the Arizona Cardinals are working to send their No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft along with all-world wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in exchange for the Titans’ No. 11 overall pick “plus more.”
That would definitely seem to gel with rumors from this morning that the Titans are looking to move up to No. 3 overall to draft C.J. Stroud.

But NFL insider Ian Rapoport quickly poured some cold water on the idea that DeAndre Hopkins will be part of the deal.
“While the #Titans have had conversations about a potential trade up to No. 3 — among other spots — they have not had conversations centered around star WR DeAndre Hopkins, source said,” Rapoport wrote.

Last year the Tennessee Titans traded wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles in a blockbuster trade. But their passing game struggled mightily after Brown was sent away.
The Titans could definitely use a big-play wide receiver to make up for the lost production.
But whether Hopkins is part of the deal or not, a big trade seems to be imminent.
