It’s a good sign to already have QB1 and WR1 on the same page.
Last year, in Tennessee Titans’ training camp, it was widely reported that Will Levis and Calvin Ridley were having trouble getting on the same page in training camp. At the time, I was quick to dismiss it as no big deal because of the newness factor with the system, Levis as the starter, and Ridley in his first camp with the team. Well, it turned out there was something to it. Ridley totaled just twelve catches in the team’s first six games before having ten catches in the seventh game against the Detroit Lions.
The good news for this year is that Cam Ward and Ridley have had a great connection from the jump. Check out this play from the Titans’ practice at Nissan Stadium on Saturday:
Cam Ward might go Nuclear this year
This is one of those Pro Day throws but in a simulated situation at practice
Sidenote: Calvin Ridley fantasy watch

There was also this from today’s practice:
It’s gonna be hard to top the deep shot from Cam Ward to Calvin Ridley
Empty set, double coverage, sideline throw on the money
Chig with a massive pass block that gave Cam time.
Its got me red hulking

Calvin Ridley is easily the best weapon the Titans have on offense. It would serve Ward well to rely on him early and often, especially at the beginning of his career.
Ridley did end the season with solid numbers – 64/1,017/4, but those numbers should all go up with another year in the system, better quarterback play, and better offensive line play.
