As the calendar turns to DHember, does The King have another dominant month in him?
Derrick Henry gets better as the season goes on. That has been proven time and time again. When the Tennessee Titans take the field at Nissan Stadium on Sunday the calendar will have turned to December….or DHember as it is known around these parts. There has been a lot of talk around the internet about how The King has lost a step. Does he have another magic month in him?
The Indianapolis Colts are giving up over 129 yards on the ground per game. This is a perfect spot for Henry to start the month off with a bang. The Titans are 1-point underdogs in this game over at DraftKings. If you could give me the assurance right now that Henry gets 20+ carries in this game, I’d be willing to put a lot of money on that +1.
Oh, and don’t forget Tyjae Spears. We don’t know what the future holds for Henry and the Titans, but we do know that the Titans have a special back in Spears. His quickness jumps off the screen when you watch him run. Don’t be surprised if Tim Kelly dials up some trickery with Henry and Spears here, especially if Will Levis isn’t 100% because of an ankle injury.
Draft position is fun to talk about and wish for, but it’s hard for me to think of a scenario where I would root for a Colts win over the Titans. I know for a fact that Sunday won’t be one of those times. I want to see Henry put his foot on their throats as he has done so many times over the last few years.
