Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard is probably one of the most underrated names in the trade market and the Los Angeles Chargers could be interested. According to one source, they believe the Chargers are the best fit for the former Dallas Cowboy, who has yet to do much with the Titans with rookie quarterback Cam Ward under center. With the Chargers having a better offensive line led by Joe Alt and Trey Pipkins, it makes sense that Pollard could thrive in the ground game. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh emphasizes the run game, and while they’ve yet to trade for a new backfield piece, they could get it done in the next few days.
Either way, it was rumored that the Chargers are exploring the running back trade market after losing Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton in one season. Despite Hampton returning to the lineup, they should play it safe and get a low-stakes acquisition like Pollard. Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the former Memphis product became a Pro Bowler during his stint with the Cowboys. Pollard emerged as a promising back in the league, but he hasn’t shown that he can succeed in the rebuilding phase of the Titans.
The running back should fit into the rhythm as a temporary replacement to give Hampton some stability. However, there are several teams out there looking for depth, and these three rosters could keep tabs on Pollard.

Potential Destinations
Dallas Cowboys
Nobody should rule a reunion here, even if Pollard becomes a backup for Dallas. It won’t be the first time Pollard has been in this type of role, as he was exceptional during his time in the first stint with the Cowboys. Dallas’ offense is on fire, and getting Pollard a part of the group behind a strong, efficient running back alongside Javonte Williams would give them an extra advantage on the ground. The duo would be similar to what CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens are, and that is a scary sight for opposing defenses, as quarterback Dak Prescott is on pace to win an MVP.
With Dallas likely to trade for a defensive playmaker, they could look into the RB market to find a viable replacement in place of Miles Sanders.
Indianapolis Colts
Meanwhile, at 6-1, the Colts probably have one of the best offenses in the league since the Peyton Manning era. Daniel Jones has himself a strong running back and group of receivers, but why not help Jonathan Taylor in situational moments? He’s already exceptional on the ground, but Pollard chipping in as his duo could be something special to see.
Kansas City Chiefs
However, the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 regular season can really go anywhere. While Isiah Pacheco is a ferocious downhill runner, he’s been slowing down, similar to veteran Kareem Hunt. With both of them set to become free agents next offseason, they should trade for Pollard to determine the future of their running back corps.
