Derrick Henry Compared Himself To Legendary NFL Quarterback After Touchdown Pass

November 18, 2022 by The Spun

Titans running back Derrick Henry proved Thursday night that he can truly do it all. He finished the game with 87 rushing yards, 45 receiving yards and a three-yard touchdown pass.

During the third quarter, the Titans dialed up a jump pass at the goal line for Henry. His pass connected with tight end Austin Hooper in the end zone.

Following the Titans’ win over the Packers, Henry was asked about his touchdown pass.

Henry told reporters, “I call myself the young Peyton Manning, so it felt good.”

In addition to throwing a touchdown pass on Thursday night, Henry also rushed for a touchdown. He officially became the fifth player in NFL history to rush for 10 or more touchdowns in five straight seasons.

Henry also surpassed 1,000 rushing yards on the season. It’s remarkable what he has been able to do since 2018.

The Titans will be back in action next Sunday against the Bengals. Maybe the coaching staff will call another jump pass at the goal line for Henry.
