NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The team with the longest losing streak in the NFL resides in Nashville.
The Titans fell flat at home once again on Sunday, losing 41-20 to their rival, the Indianapolis Colts. Dating back to last year, Tennessee has now lost 9 straight games.
To build on the misery, the team has started 0-3 in back-to-back seasons. They also haven’t won a home game since early last November. It’s all bad, and Titans fans are speaking out.
“You got these coaches out here man making brain dead, horrible decisions. A 9-year-old in Madden could do better clock management, play-calling,” said Titans fan Andrew Mathis.
Mathis captured on video the cascade of boos that Titans fans rained down on the team at halftime Sunday, largely directed at Head Coach Brian Callahan.
“It’s embarrassing to spend money to go to the game, to buy concessions, to buy parking, and then you sit there and it’s like watching a trainwreck,” said Mathis.
The “Fire Callahan” crowd– those who want head coach Brian Callahan replaced– are the loudest they’ve ever been.
“I think, like a lot of fans right now, we’re pretty fed up with the coaching staff. Brian Callahan in particular,” said Max, a fan who hosts a Titans podcast under the name ‘Maximus Titan Fan.’

“We need to move in a new direction with our head coach. (Callahan) has failed to make the right decisions with our team,” added Reynard Martin, another Titans podcast host.
“It’s just complete mismanagement of the team. It’s incompetency, it feels like, and it’s just week after week,” added Mathis.
Titans fans will tell you they weren’t expecting much this season. But with a crop of exciting rookie players, led by quarterback Cam Ward, improvement from last year’s league worst finish was expected.
Through three games, some fans believe the team is going backwards instead.
“It feels like you’re being fooled, you know? They sell this team as we’ve improved, we’ve improved, we’re doing all these things to get better. It’s even worse than last year! That’s the worst part. They look even worse,” said Mathis.
Mathis and Max both expressed confidence in the Titans new General Manager, Mike Borgonzi, and the young playmakers the team has developing on both sides of the ball.
A new head coach, however, is very much on top of their, and many fans, to-do list.
“I think Cam (Ward) wants somebody that’s going to come in and be a little bit more decisive, definitely more aggressive,” said Max.

Coach Brian Callahan is now 3-17 as head coach of the Titans. His team has lost by 14 points or more in 7 (35%) of those games.
In other words: blow-out defeats and the Tennessee Titans are becoming synonymous with each other.
“Really, it goes back to when we traded AJ Brown. That is when it started; that was the start of the decline. And ever since then, it has been more and more painful every year,” said Max.
The Titans will travel to play another division rival, the Houston Texans, on Sunday in a battle of 0-3 teams.
