Last year, the Titans selected Liberty quarterback Malik Willis in the third round of the draft. Let’s just say his rookie season didn’t go the way fans hoped it would.
In three starts, Willis completed 50.8 percent of his passes for 276 yards with three interceptions.
The Titans clearly aren’t sold on Willis just yet. That would explain why they traded up to draft Kentucky’s Will Levis on Friday night.
After the Titans drafted Levis, former Packers executive Andrew Brandt tweeted, “This is a bad day for Malik Willis.”
This is a bad day for Malik Willis. #Titans

Brandt wasn’t the only person who brought up Willis after Levis’ name was called.
Malik Willis really speed ran an entire career as an NFL QB in exactly 12 months

“We were talkin about Malik Willis as a top 10 pick this time last year and it’s already over,” another person said.

It was reported earlier this month that Tennessee’s coaching staff “lost faith” in Willis.
If Willis has truly fallen out of favor within the organization, he’ll be competing for a roster spot this summer.
