Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins isn’t ready to hang up his cleats and walk away from the NFL just yet.
Following viral rumors that he had informed Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid of his plans to retire — a false report that misled several, including those of us at Titans Wire — Hopkins revealed via X that he plans to return in 2025.

“Don’t know what you’ve heard but I’m not done yet,” he wrote in a since-deleted post.
The 32-year-old Hopkins was shipped to the Chiefs as part of a mid-season trade from Tennessee. He appeared in 10 games for the AFC Champions after battling through a slow, injury-hampered start.
In addition to the Titans and Chiefs, Hopkins has also played for the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans, where he was a first-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft.
In 178 career games, the five-time All-Pro has hauled in 984 receptions for 12,965 yards, and 83 touchdowns. He’s also gained 21 yards on six carries and thrown one touchdown in his career.
Hopkins’ 12,965 yards are the most among active wide receivers.
